About Us

The West Public Library is a 501(C)3 non-profit organization dedicated to serving the community. Currently, we have 36,000 items which include books, DVDs, and large print books. We have several computers available for use with WiFi. Black and white printing is available at a nominal charge. The conference room is available to rent for birthday parties, showers, and private events for $50.00, however, room usage must be booked in advance. A book sale is held on the Saturday of Labor Day weekend as a fundraiser for the library. The library also has a water booth at West Fest with all proceeds going to support the library. In addition to storytime for the children, we have recently launched a speaker series for adults on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month from 5:30 - 6:30. Crafts, games, and monthly book club are regularly scheduled. Please refer to our upcoming events for times and dates. The library offers something for everyone! We hope to see you soon! • Paperback Book Exchange

Bring paperbacks that you have read to the library and exchange them for books you would like to read. As a way to share community resources, the library will serve as a central location to exchange used paperback books. These books are not to be checked out in a customary manner and do not need to be returned unless you would like to bring them back to exchange for another set of books. Five books may be exchanged at a time. The library asks that people be mindful of the books they bring to exchange. Yellowed, tattered, and dated books cannot be accepted. If books for exchange cannot be found, you may keep the books to exchange at a later date or receive a receipt to use at a later date. Exchanges can be made any time the library is open.
